Michaela Community School will form a not-for-profit multi-academy trust (MAT) to open and govern the new school in line with the Department for Education’s requirements.

The school’s proposer team bring a huge amount of experience and knowledge to facilitate the creation of a high-performing school in Stevenage.

The Trustees will oversee the development and running of the school and will ensure that all staff and governors uphold the strong principles and values to which they are committed. Trustees will listen carefully to parents and carers and to the local community and will work with our key stakeholders to deliver academic excellence, high standards and exceptional outcomes for students and provide an outstanding community facility.

Local Board of Governors
The school will be run by a locally-recruited board of governors who will be accountable to the charitable Trust. Members of the Trust and school governors will meet regularly with the Headteacher and school staff in order to provide both challenge and support for the school. They will act as critical friends to the school. In addition, the school will be accountable to the Secretary of State for Education through the terms of its Funding Agreement.
